During our picnique, Bhavishya (and Mark) had a very interesting telephone conversation...


We heard:

"Hello, Uncle Wick (Rick) may I please speak to Cousin William"?

after a short while we heard...

"Daddy, you say hello to Cousin William"...

What a sneaky 2 year old little boy he is, on the phone with his cousin!!! pfff!

Today it's Pashmina's birthday...

Happy Birthday my Darling little furry face! You are such a sweet dog! I am proud of how you adapted yourself to Bhavishya...it wasn't easy for you after being the little baby of the familly for nearly 3 years!

Thank you for being such a lovely dog, thank you for being so protective to us all especially Bhavishya and that means the world to us.

And...for CRYING OUT LOUD, STOP EATING THE STUFF THE STUPID NEIGHBOURS PUT OUT!!! THAT STUFF WILL KILL YOU AT THE END!!! That will truely brake my heart to say the least!

PEDICURE & TRAMPOLINE II

After some of the post and emails I got I feel I need to explain a little more...

Après les postes et les emails que j'ai reçu il me semble que je doive m'expliquer un peu...

I did not hurt myself on the trampoline. Nor did any of the kids. Corinne is a friend of mine who lives in the village. She enjoys giving pedicures...and whilst she gave me one...the kids played in her garden under her husband supervision.

Je ne me suis pas fait mal sur le trampoline. Et les enfants non plus. Corinne est une de mes amies qui habite dans mon village...elle aime donner des pédicures...et pendant ce temps les enfants jouaient dans le jardin sous la supervision de son mari.

I twisted my ankle in my garden, inspecting the work of our gardner as I had asked him to do some "heavy duty job"...pathetic...just going down the steps I did not put my foot on the ground properly and voilà! It is blue and swollen!

Je me suis tordu la cheville dans mon jardin, en inspectant le travail de notre jardinier. En effet je lui avaint demandé de faire un travail lourd et difficile. C'est pathétique car en décendant l'escalier, j'ai "mal" posé mon pied et voilà l'entorse. Il est bleu et très gonflé!

On a eu une petite crise hier soir...Miss B s'est plantée une écharde dans la main...

Résultat des courses...elle a HURLE la mort pendant 2h00!

J'étais sortie sur la terrasse pour que les voisins voient que je ne lui arrachais pas les yeux!

Pas moyen de la lui enlever et pas moyen de la faire dormir avec...au final Mark est rentré vers 20h30...on a réussi à l'enlever peu après 21h00! hurah!

On a dû mettre 2 sparadraps! Imaginez la d'ici quelques années elle voudra un plâtre j'imagines!

Mother's day in Luxembourg / La fête des Mères au Luxembourg

Yesterday morning, I got breakfast in bed!!! Pash helped as well!!!

Fresh bread from the bakery, juice, coffee, jam, cooked egg, a beautiful litte girl arrived screaming her head off:

She knew her poem by heart...I was on the phone with my S-i-L, Sophie, who just had her 1st baby last w-e. Sophie and Kris live in Australia...and she witnessed it live...I was in tears...I'm not sure she understood why I was crying but what the heck, one cannot control emotions, right?

Ce matin, mes chéris m'ont apporté le ti' déj au lit!!! (Pash y inclus!)

Pain frais, jus, café, confiture, oeuf et une magnifique petite fille qui criait a tue tête:

Elle a récité son poème...j'étais au téléphone avec ma belle soeur, Sophie qui vient juste d'accoucher de son 1er le w-e dernier. Sophie et Kris habitent en Australie...elle était le témoin de cette mise en scène...j'était si émue...je n'ai pu retenir mes larmes...je ne suis pas très sûre si elle a compris ce qui s'était passé...tempis

Dolly's birthday

We've known Dolly and Yvonne for nearly 5 years now...we met through our Dogs, Luna and Pashmina.


This year, once again, we had a beautiful day to celebrate Dolly's birthday and it was so much fun and so delicious (Indonesian food), sadely she had to lie down because of her bad back!

Today I have two:

1. It's about teaching kids how to write...it's from a compay called MEAD...I found it lately when I was in the US...Bhavishya loves it and made tremendous progress with it. To learn more about it, please click

2. TDC or the Different Company...I've discovered recently. I feel in love with this fragrance. This one is also very special. I love fresh smells. I love the simplicity the bottle and of the packaging. I just love the whole concept...simple luxury.

Stage de resourcement familial avec les ânes

Nous avons reçu aujourd'hui les détails concernant le stage de ressourcement familial avec les ânes!



Je suis ravie...c'est génial...

Ils ont limité les inscriptions à 14 personnes et comme ils disent "Ce qui est intéressant, c’est que les 7 enfants sont d’un âge similaire".

3 anciens enseignants nous acconpagneront au long de notre aventure:

• C.D, guide du terroir, psycho-pédagogue, asino-médiatrice depuis 8 ans, meneuse d’attelage (formée par Matti, Gaspard, Brasseur, Glenisson, …)
• P.B, enseignante, employée à l’asinerie comme responsable pédagogique, qui nous fournira l’accueil lors du bivouac
• Daniel, psycho-pédagogue, ânier depuis 1996, meneur d’attelage, fondateur et gérant de l’ASBL.

On nous dit que les ânes: "vont nous donner du temps et nous réapprendre à admirer, à entendre, à sentir, … Ils seront notre essence des sens"

Jour 1
9h30 accueil – 16h fin
approches de l’âne - apprentissages (panser un âne, le mener, le seller,…) - initiation à l’attelage (placement du harnais, la voiture d’attelage, la conduite, …)

Jour 2
9h30 – 16h
Balade avec guide du terroir «vallée des lacs et des châteaux» Préparation des ânes à la monte, au bât et à l’attelage puis promenade guidée

Jours 3 et 4
9h30 – 16h Bivouac de 2 jours
1er jour à travers la forêt
Nous devrions emporter: repas éventuels, collations, gourdes, sacs de couchage, tente de camping.

Ah c'est génial...je me réjouis tant de participer et de partager des moments forts avec notre fille ;-)

La phrase du Jour / The phrase of the day

Hier je demandai à Miss B quelles activités elle désire participer à la rentrée scolaire...pas de réponse alors je lui demande si elle désire continuer les cours de musique et de gym, ou faire de la danse classique ou de la natation ou encore de l'équitation et elle me répond...

"Maman...tu sais...moi je veux faire la fête!".

J'étais scotchée...ça promet tu sais Chéri...on va devoir s'accrocher d'ici 10-12 ans!!! LoL!!!

Yesterday I asked Miss B what kind of activities she would like to join in September when school starts again...no answer...so I ask her whether she would like to continue her music lessons and the gym, or start ballet, swimming lessons or ridding classes to which she answers:

"Mama...you know...me I want to Party!"

I was speechless...you know darling...it sounds promissing...it's going to be fun in 10 - 12 years time!!! LoL!!!

Bhavishya is a little disapointed it's not a girl...I keep telling her that it's better that way...she can boss both Cousin William & Cousin Jack!

We are so thrilled for you guys!

We cannot wait to meet him!! Mark might need to go to Sydney this summer...we'll let you guys know as soon as his plans firms up.
