It's birthmother's Day. Apparently it was first celebrated 17 years ago in Seattle. This year it is celebrated (mainly in the US) the day before Mother's day. Well the trick is that Mother's day is not Mother's day everywhere in the world. For example Mother's day in Luxembourg is celebrated in Late June and in the UK sometime in March.

Now America has the "Open Adoption" route. Some parents chose this route and one can find a collection of cards for the birthmother on this site.

I know I will be thinking of K, Bhavishya's birthmother. I shall probably light up a candle in her honour, I shall be praying for her.
