Vorwerk Thermomix

La semaine passée, mon amie Barbara nous a conviées, des amies et moi-même, chez elle pour une démonstration du Vorwerk Thermomix tm31. J'ai été scotchée par cette démonstration. Je ne suis pas du tout une adèpte de soirées Tupperwear etc, mais là je peux vous dire que je suis ca-rré-ment tombée amoureuse de ce gadget!

Il y a quelques mois de cela j'avais lu un article dans le "Elle à Table" à son sujet mais le journaliste ne m'avais pas du tout convaincu.

Vous connaissez cet engin? c'est une map, un cuit-vapeur, un kitchen aid, une sorbetière, un blender, il chauffe...il fait tout...enfin presque...il ne tond pas la pelouse, ne promène pas le chien et ne fait pas l'amour! (Sic! Mark est beaucoup en voyage ces temps...)

Alors pourquoi ne trône-t-il pas déja dans ma cuisine puisqu'il est si GENIAL QUE CA???

Bhavishya à la Ferme I

Mardi, Bhavishya et sa classe partent la journée à la Ferme, ferme pédagogique. Pour la préparer, j'ai trouvé ce petit livre extra!

Lorsque je suis tombée sur ce livre à la librairie, je me suis dit que c'était un livre "trop bébé" pour Bhavishya. En le feuilletant, je me suis rendue compte que c'est une véritable petite encyclopédie, sur la ferme, le travail des agriculteurs, les saisons. Des autres sujets tel que la laiterie, la fromagerie, le vignoble, la rizière, la plantation de thé pour en citer que quelque uns y sont abordés. Aussi les enfants partent à la découverte de différents pays: la France, les Etats-Unis, le Brézil, l'Inde et bien d'autres. Les illustrations sont riches en détails et en vocabulaire. Pour conclure, ce petit livre est un petit trésor pour tous les enfants et parents.

Excellente lecture!

Winter holiday in the mountains / Les vancances à la montage

Last week, Bhavishya, Pashmina and mysefl were staying at my Friend's in the mountains and did some sking and snowboarding. We had a good time, but I jacket was stollen with my small camera, prescription sunglasses, wallet, key, ipod, etc. and my car was vendalised!

Caroline

A friend of mine, Caroline, needed some new pictures for her business brochure and asked me to take some portraits of her so she came yesterday morning with some danish, much to Miss B's joy. We had a marvelous time as she wanted to be my assistant. Nonetheless she wanted to be the photographer as well.

Mon amie Caroline voulait de nouvelles photos sur dans sa brochure et m'a demandé que je la prenne en photo. Elle est donc venue hier matin avec des croissants. Bhavishya, ne va jamais à l'école le vendredi matin et elle était ravie de jouer à mon "Assistante", puis elle a décidé d'être la photographe!

La Chandeleur avec 24 heures de retard

Eh oui nous avons fêté la chandeleur avec 24heures de retard puisque Miss B était encore fièvreuse.

Pour ceux et celles qui veulent savoir comment j'ai fait les crèpes puisque Bhavishya est intollerente au lactose...avec du lait de riz aux amendes. Délicieux!

En regardant ce site , ça me re-donné envie de sortir ma MàC et de me mettre à l'ouvrage.
Souvenez-vous, la robe/tunique à motif coccinelles que j'avais faite (avec l'aide de mon amie Nathalie) pour les 4 ans de Bhavishya? J'avais aussi cousu des fanions pour sa fête d'anniversaire. Aujourd'hui ils sont accrochés dans sa chambre?

Whilst I was busy surfing, I found this fun website and it's Etsy shop that made me feel like getting my sewing machine out of the attic.

Do you remember the dress / tunic I made for Bhavishya's 4th bday and the garlands (see above pictures)?

Maybe I should get back into this activity...?

Our trip to India III

This mini video was taken in the car driving us from Bombay airport to our Friend's house. Bare in mind, Bhavishya was very exited and extremely tired, hence her not concentrating very well when speaking.

For those of you who cannot see the image properly nor hear very well (the sound & image are appaling), I asked her how one says hello in India and her reply is:

"Namaste, like little Jesus" (meaning putting your hands together like when one is praying, something she learned doing at the orphanage age < than 2!)

Cette mini video a été prise dans la voiture qui nous conduisait de l'aéroport de Bombay chez nos amis. Notez, qu'il était très tard, que Bhavishya était très exitée et complètement crevée.

Pour ceux qui ne voient pas bien l'image ou ceux qui n'entendent pas bien (le son est exécrable comme l'image d'ailleur), je lui demande comment dit-on "Bonjour" en Inde, sur ce elle répond:

"Namaste, comme Petit Jesus" (voulant dire que l'on joint les mains comme lorsque l'on prie - chose qu'elle a appris à faire à l'orphelinat alors qu'elle avait tout juste 2 ans si ce n'est moins!).

Happy 4 1/2 birthday Darling Bhavishya

We don't celebrate 1/2 birthdays in our family...but since about 4 months Bhavishya has been nagging me and asking me everyday when she will be 4 1/2. So this morning when I woke her up I said:

"Good morning my big girl of 4 1/2"...

She opened her eyes and gave me one of these smiles only she can give, the kind of smile that lights up any room, any person, any sad situation and then in her small and sleepy voice she said:

"Mama I grew up so fast...I'm nearly as tall as you are now..." (huge grin).

LOL!

I wanted to take the time to take pictures this morning but we were in a rush...on the way home, Bhavishya had a fever and fell asleep so here is the one of this morning in her class room.
